I printed this at home, and a lot of filament was wasted.
So, turns out setting your overhang angle to 90 degrees causes it to just not print supports, which goes about as well as you'd think it would. Really should've figured something was up when it said it would only take an hour and a half to print, but I'm convinced I share a brain cell with someone and I did not have it at that moment. Also my dad had the infill percentage set to 25%... I made sure to scold him for that. Transparent filament still wasn't working out, but my theory about it really not mattering that much actually turned out to be correct. It only blocks a little bit more than the nosepieces on a standard pair of glasses.
A moment of silence for my first attempt. We were having issues with the bed and extruder continuing to heat up after reaching the target temperature before this. And- y'know, I unknowingly told it to not print supports. Also, I actually modeled the whole thing backwards, so after successfully printing it the first time, I had to mirror it and print the whole thing again.
